![]() from Logon for 1 minute and 1 second, then logoff counts as 2 minutes. The WiFi was free for 150 minutes, but it was not so easy to logoff, (keep the logon window open, or go to ) and if you forgot to logoff, but stopped using it, it still counted your minutes, plus after whole minutes, the fraction of a minute was counted as 1 minute, i.e. The marketing and promotions of jewellery and artworks we found a bit strange, (but we heard rumors that NCL was trying to make up lost revenue from the pandemic) and the loud rock music they played at the pool every afternoon discouraged us from using it, as well as the pool being almost full of people. We made some friends amongst the fellow-Australians we met onboard. Tours of Valleta, Taormina (organised by NCL), the Amalfi Coast, and Tuscan countryside were highlights, and were well organized. ![]() We enjoyed visiting the various ports - Piraeus (Athens), Mykonos, Katakolon (Olympia), Valleta (Malta), Catania (Sicily), Naples, Livorno and Cannes. It was nice to stroll around once we had made it to the top, and we had a sort of tour of the island on the local buses. even the people who had opted for the expense of a fast boat to another jetty had to wait. The huge number of passengers getting on or off at each port made it slow going, and at Santorini we had to queue for nearly an hour in the heat for the cable car, and one passenger fainted. The ship was fairly smooth sailing, with just a small rocking sensation which was barely perceptible. Sleeping on board was okay, beds were comfortable, except we both developed coughs which woke us up most nights, and only occasionally were we disturbed by vibrations or strange noises as the ship maneuvered into or out of a port. All the staff were very attentive and helpful, and the dining was enjoyable, even if we had to wait half an hour for a seat. Then we headed up to the Garden Restaurant where we found hundreds of people jostling at the huge buffet, so many choices, so much noise! The food was good and it wasn't too hard to find a seat, but over the course of 11 days we found even the restaurants with waiters were noisy, as if there was no attention paid to acoustics. I was a bit overwhelmed by the size of the ship at first - 11 levels of accommodation - but we found our cabin and it was big enough, nice beds, TV and tea/coffee, small shower and washing facilities. This was our first (and only) cruise on a big ship (with 4700 other passengers), starting from Rome on 22nd August, via train and bus to Civitavecchia port to board the ship, for an 11-day Mediterranean cruise. OUTSIDE: there is only one adult pool for 4K people? We might seems like very difficult person but I swear we are just two normal people who were on our honeymoon and are disappointed. Also, We were on the fifth floor, and the carpet smelled like urine, so they put some powder so cover the scent but I had a big allergy reaction I was not able to open my eyes for a whole day. If you are on a budget, too bad for you, you wait 3 hours to get out of the boat because you’re not part of the groups and have no more time to visit. Can at least the internet be free ? The excursions with the boat were so OVERPRICED! Minimum 300 per person. We had to pay 250$ to have unlimited wifi. You have also only 150 min for a BAD Internet connection. They even have a martini bar on the ship, but if you want an espresso martini, you need to go buy your espresso, then they make your martini. There is a Starbucks on the boat, and that’s were you get your coffee. PRICES: YOU NEED TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING, EVEN COFFEE! There is no coffee on the boat, except bad filter coffee. They say they want to help you, but gives the wrong information. Someone tells you something, and the other tells you other things. All from different countries, so not the same dialect. STAFF: the staff were kind and joyful, but barely spoke English. There was no supplies, even if you asked, the don’t give you 2 Kleenex boxes or 2 paper towels, so when you needed some extra, you had nothing with you. The towels were dirty, like someone used it before. The room service changed everything everyday, but still everything was not clean. We slept so bad and the sheets were DISGUSTING. The other shows were disappointing, you go on a 10 days cruise with 5 different shows, so what do you do the next 5 days ? ROOM: we had two single beds to make one bed, this was not ok. ![]() 1 show was really nice, burn the floor, dancers were awesome and that is why I give one star. Poor choice of restaurant, served all the same dishes and not good. This was the worst cruise we’ve ever had! We’ve paid 4K each for our honeymoon, and expected so much more! FOOD: The food was disgusting, so cold, no flavour, meat was uncooked and the bread was really hard to chew.
